Consistency Rule Calculator
Check whether your best trading day breaches prop firm consistency caps (30%, 40%, 50%) and calculate exact extra profit needed to pass.
How the Consistency Rule Calculator Works
Calculate your best-day share by dividing your highest single-day profit by your total cumulative profit. If this share exceeds your firm limit (e.g. 40%), calculate extra profit needed as: (Best Day ÷ Limit) - Total Profit.
Extra Profit Needed = (Best Day ÷ Limit%) - Total Profit. Passed if share ≤ limit%.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does failing the consistency rule cause an account breach?
Usually no! At most firms, failing consistency does not forfeit your account; it simply requires you to make additional profits on subsequent days to dilute your best day percentage below the threshold.
What consistency percentages do firms enforce?
Common limits include 30% (Apex/TradeDay), 40% (Topstep/FundedNext), and 50% (Funding Pips on specific accounts). Check your exact challenge parameters.
